Credit Recovery/ Remediation
Students who earned grades of “D” or “F” for either the fall and/or spring semesters may need to attend summer school to remediate the grade. For a grade of fail, the student must attend the Notre Dame summer program if the course is offered. If the course is not offered in person at Notre Dame, the student may opt to attend Notre Dame’s preferred online provider, Catholic Virtual.
These courses are offered to instruct students who need more support in core areas such as reading and math.

Based on course instructional objectives and evidenced by performance on examination(s), these classes aim to identify areas of continued learning of the material. Once identified, the course assists the student in developing mastery of the material.
