1:1 iPad Program
Notre Dame High School began looking at 1:1 programs during the 2011-2012 school year. After working closely with our sister school, St. Francis High School, Mountain View, we came up with a multi-year phased approach to ensure that the 1:1 program would be adopted successfully.
During the 2012-2013 school year, Notre Dame installed the infrastructure needed for a 1:1 program. By the following school year, the faculty were issued iPads and iPad carts were placed in classrooms. After a successful soft-launch of the iPad program, the school began its 1:1 program at the start of the 2014-2015 school year. Each student was issued an NDHS iPad and the school began moving to the digital realm.
The adoption of the 1:1 has significantly grown since its inception. Notre Dame students and faculty are not only dependant on the program, but our faculty are truly leveraging technology to change how we teach our students. By captivating students through innovative technologies as opposed to rote memorization and regurgitation of facts, we are developing 21st-century learners and leaders here at Notre Dame.
