Martine Abdaem joined the Notre Dame community in 2012 and serves as the Director of Counseling, counseling freshman, sophomore and junior students. Martine has worked as a school counselor for 20 years, previously working at Saint Monica Catholic High School as the senior lead counselor and teaching Psychology. She also worked at the Burbank Unified School District as a school counselor at both the middle and high school level. She holds her M.S. degree in Counseling, with a specialization in School Counseling, a Pupil Personnel Credential from California State University, Northridge, and a B.A. degree in Psychology from UCLA.
Martine brings enormous experience to Notre Dame in the areas of academic, college, career, and personal social-emotional counseling. She is an active member of several counseling organizations, including the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), and American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
