Several wealth generation accumulation streams of income, such as name-image-likeness contracts, inheritance/allowance, and paid internships, will be explored in this course to assess the most commonly accessible savings vehicles used in maximizing these revenue streams.
The interactive lesson plan will enable students to make informed choices regarding personal budgeting, balancing, and goal-setting based on individualized wants versus needs assessments.
Topics covered that influence spending and savings include understanding paycheck and payroll deductions, tax planning and deferred savings tools, credit card/loan debt, interest and fees, creditworthiness and its influences on insurance, housing, and employment, as well as the acquisition of large ticket items such as automobiles, real estate, and educational financing terms and options.
These concepts will be compared with informing students how to create and generate wealth through informed choices and savings.
